Santos Garza

Santos Garza, Jr was born in Lubbock , Tx on July 2, 1959 to Santos Sr and Erminia Garza who preceded him in death. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 26, 2020 at the age of 61. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel Renee Lopez. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Rojas Garza; children, Caroline Rodriquez (Erik), Christine Lopez-Gomez (Ruben), Adrian Garza. ; grandchildren, Gavin and Emerson Rodriquez, Lucas Lopez; a niece and her family who he called his own; Renee Rodriquez her husband Rod Jr, and children, Elizabeth and Chris Ortiz, Xavier Rodriquez; sister, Yolanda Deleon (Damien), and two brothers, Arthur Garza (Marylou), Andrew Garza. Santos also had many sisters and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who all held a special place in his heart. Santos graduated from Lorenzo High School in 1977, where he met the love of his life, Ruby. They married on March 1, 1980. They were married for 40 years. He received a degree in diesel mechanics from South Plains College in 1979. In May of 1979 he started working at Warren CAT, he worked there for 41 years. He left behind many co-workers who he considered family. Santos also played competitive softball with the Lorenzo Warriors in the 1980s. He had a passion for cooking. Santos loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle and he was the Dallas Cowboys number one fan. His contagious laugh and dancing will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Wednesday, December, 30 2020 from 11:00-9:00 pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00. A graveside service will be held at the Lorenzo Cemetery on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 10:00 am.
