Lilia Gallegos

Lilia Rendon Gallegos passed from this life on October 29, 2021, at the age of 89. She was born October 17, 1932, in Rockwood, TX to Mauricio and Tomasa Frausto Rendon. She married Ernesto P. Gallegos June 15, 1943, and they shared 43 years together. She was a housewife and enjoyed watching novellas, listening to the radio, and watching her grandchildren. She will be remembered for being caring and loving, helping to raise her grandchildren, and for her feisty attitude.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons Robert Zamora and Leroy Rivera, Sr., her grandchildren Irma Zamora, Bobby Zamora, Andrew Zamora and Roxanne Rivera (Johnny Lujan), Chirelle Nieto, Yulissa Nieto, Xavier Zamora, Zoie Zamora, Andrew Zamora, Joslin Zamora, Jaya Omelas, Amaya Omelas, Eziah Rivera, and Zariah Rivera; Leroy's children Leroy Rivera, Jr. (Elizabeth Rivera) Adriane Rivera and Rocky Rivera, and her great-grandchildren Talia Asabedo, Leroy Rivera III, Samuel Rivera, Savannah Rivera, Xavier Rivera, Brianna Garcia, Anthony Gomez, and Jaden Rivera, and her great-great grandchildren Zavin Pardo, Aislynn Pardo Rivera, and C.J. Carranza, Elise Campos Garcia, and Aubrey Rivera.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ernesto Gallegos, her parents Mauricio and Tomasa Frausto Rendon, her sisters Beatrice Solis, Oralia Martinez, Consuelo Ruiz, and Aurora Martinez, and her brothers Raul Rendon, Ruben Rendon, Luis Rendon, Mauricio Rendon III, and Gilbert Rendon, and her daughters Mary Lou Rendon and Lilia Lucy Rendon.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 2 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with burial to follow Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
