Leonor Leora Flores

Leonor Loera Flores, 70 years old, went to her eternal home on Monday, October 19, 2020 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of Lioneres Reyes Flores. They were married on December 31, 1972 in McAllen, Texas and shared 42 years together.

Leonor was born on November 7, 1941 in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Gabriel Loera and Maria del Socorro Rojas.

She would always tell everyone her greatest accomplishment was her family and she meant it. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was employed for Aramark, at Hodges Elementary for 25 years in the school cafeteria. She took great pride in her work and loved the kids that she served every day.

Leonor loved spending time with her husband working together on their home, working in the yard, and gardening. She loved watching her novellas with a cup of coffee and sweet bread. She especially loved taking care of her grandchildren as they entered their lives and then the joy of taking care of her 1st great-grandchild.

She will always be remembered for the love she gave her family and friends, for truly taking her vows of “in sickness and in health” to heart by always being by her “honey’s” side throughout his illness.

She is survived by her three children: Irmalinda Flores, Lioneres (Priscilla) Flores Jr., Ricky (Melissa) Flores. 9 Grandchildren: Alexandra Danielle Garza, Ivy Marie Garza, Jeremiah Jeffrey Garza, Nathaniel David Chandler, Jasmine Nicole Flores, Matthew Jay Flores, Issiah Bo Flores, Krystjan Carrasco, Faith Flores. One Great-Grandchild: Jeremiah Jeffrey Garza Jr.,

Siblings: Sylvia Loera, John Loera, Martin Loera, Ray(Stephanie)Loera, Albert(Sylvia)Loera, and Tony Loera. Maria Isabel Sanchez Melchor, Juana Maria Sanchez Melchor(Sixto Cruz Arellano),Victor Manuel Sanchez Melchor(Felipa Oyervidez), Martha Elena Sanchez Melchor, Sergio Sanchez Melchor, Panfilo Sanchez Melchor, Elida Sanchez Melchor(Juan Manuel Hernandez A.), Rosa Maria Sanchez Melchor Trinidad, Fidencia Sanchez Melchor(David Estrada Barron).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lioneres Reyes Flores, her father, Gabriel Loera, her mother Socorro Sanchez Melchor, and her sister Rosa Maria Sanchez Melchor Trinidad.

Funeral services will be held on October 26, 2020 at 2p.m at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Martin Pena officiating. Visitation will be at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 3p.m-9p.m. Rosary will be Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 7p.m.
