Jesusa Hernandez

Jesusa DeLaCruz Hernandez passed away August 23, 2020 in her home. She was born December 24, 1943 in Levelland, Texas to Florencio and Maria DeLaCruz. She was married to Frank B. Hernandez, and they shared 50 years together. Jesusa was a homemaker who spent her days caring for her family. She enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and will be remembered for being caring and compassionate. Jesusa was a very strong woman who loved her family.

She is survived by her children Mary, Larry, Ray, Bob, Ronnie, and Sarah; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Hernandez, her mother Maria DeLaCruz, her father Florencio DeLaCruz, and her three brothers Stephen DeLaCruz, Danny DeLaCruz, and Lorenzo DeLaCruz.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, Texas with Noe De Los Santos officiating. Burial will follow in the Idalou Cemetery in Idalou, Texas.
