Guadalupe Arroyos Obituary

Guadalupe “Lupe” Arroyos, Jr., 63 passed away on October 18, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. He was the husband of Rosalinda Guerra Arroyos. They married December 12, 1975 in Hereford, Texas and shared 44 years together.

He was born November 1, 1956 in Del Rio, Texas to Guadalupe Arroyos Sr. and Rebeca Garcia Arroyos. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1976. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Guadalupe will be remembered as a loving, loyal, and committed family man, always putting his loved ones before himself and going the extra mile to help anyone in need. He was a hard-working, respectful man, and true to his word, as well as full of compassion, intelligence, and strength.

He was the owner of El Molino Tortilla Factory, and a well-known businessman, always taking pride in his successful business and loyal customers.

He was a proficient boxer and a true athlete, playing many other sports and breaking a number of school records. Always a daredevil, he enjoyed racing his Camaro down the streets of Hereford, and racing horses with his friends. As a young man, he also loved camping with his best friends, but spending time with his wife, daughters, and especially his grandchildren was his greatest pride and joy. There was never a time when he wasn’t joking around and having fun.

Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Arroyos, his three daughters, Linda Arroyos, Audrey Arroyos, and Becky Arroyos and her husband Joseph Hernandez, and his grandchildren, Victoria Hernandez and Joseph Hernandez Jr., as well as his siblings, Norma Briones and husband Joe of Lubbock, Hector Arroyos and wife Gracie of Lubbock, Nelda Garcia and husband Augustine of Lubbock, and Nora Romo and husband George of Lubbock, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe Arroyos Sr., and mother Rebeca Arroyos, brother Raul Arroyos, and sister Nancy Castro.

Guadalupe will be honored by the following pallbearers: Joseph Hernandez, Augustine Garcia Jr., Hector Arroyos Jr., Joel Munoz Jr., Jett Castro, and Hector Zambrano.
