Francisco Rodriguez

Francisco “Frank” Rodriguez, aged 88, peacefully passed away from this life to be with the Lord on November 6, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on April 16, 1935, in Weslaco, Texas, he was the son of Celestino Rodriguez and Guadalupe Ortiz Rodriguez. Frank dedicated 33 years of loyal service to Texas Tech University, retiring as a Warehouse Foreman. He was an active member of Our Lady of Grace and served as a Guadalupano. Frank had a passion for landscaping and cherished moments spent with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his humor, his love of dancing, and, above all, his deep love and devotion to his family. 

Frank is survived by his wife, Henrietta Rodriguez, and two daughters, Sylvia Henrickson (Steve Henrickson) and Sonia Rodriguez (Michael Perez). Frank was a loving stepfather to Janie Hilburn, Angelo, and Felix Adame.  Frank was blessed with 11 grandchildren:  Robert Page, Alexandria Page, Michael Page, Corey Perez, Sebrena Arguello, Suzanna Rodriguez, Seth Abshier, AJ Adame, Valerie Adame, April Adame, Isabel Adame, and 3 great-grandchildren. He also had numerous nieces and nephews and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Celestino and Guadalupe, as well as his sisters, Clifofas Rodriguez, Otila Guajardo, Guadalupe “Lupita” Garibay, Gumecinda “China” Torres, Janie Olivares, and his brother Isidro Rodriguez.

Visitation to celebrate Frank's life will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Rosary service beginning at 6:00 pm at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church , followed by the burial at Peaceful Gardens in Woodrow, TX.

Frank was a man of profound faith and had a deep and abiding love for God. His remarkable ability to offer heartfelt prayers was a testament to his devotion and compassion to his faith.  God has called his finest gardener to tend the flowers in Heaven.
