Francisca DeLaCruz Gonzalez

Francisca DeLaCruz Gonzalez went to her eternal home on August 27, 2021 at the age of 69. She was born November 27, 1951, in Slaton, Texas to Maria Coronado DeLaCruz and Florencio DeLaCruz, Sr. On October 26, 1996 she married Hugo Milton Gonzalez and they shared 25 years together. Francisca attended Levelland Schools and was employed at Caprock Health as a caregiver. She was a member of The Dream Center and enjoyed reading her bible. She had a generous heart and was always ready to feed you as soon as you entered her door. Francisca enjoyed cooking for the whole family, and she made the best tortillas. She loved dancing (electric slide) and singing. She will be remembered for her jokes, hospitality, cooking, unconditional support, and giving the best hugs. She truly loved her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Hugo Gonzalez, her daughters Victoria Ayala of Lubbock, Rammona Flores Torrez (Mauricio) of Lubbock; and Jasmine Martinez (Giovannie); her sons Adam DeLaCruz (JoAnn) of Canyon Texas, Hector Martinez (Jessica) of Lubbock, Michael P. DeLaCruz (Stephanie) of Lubbock, Raul Alberto DeLaCruz (Divina) of Lubbock; 29 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Francisca is preceded in death by her parents Florencio and Maria C. DeLaCruz, Sr.; her four brothers Florencio Jr., Stephen, Juan, and Lorenzo DeLaCruz; her two sisters Susie Hernandez and Teresa Valdez; her son Elijio Garcia, Jr.; her daughter Guadalupe; and her two great grandsons Jaime and Dominic.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 29 from 3:00 to 9:00 and Monday, August 30 from 9:00 to 9:00 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. The funeral service will be held at The Dream Center Tuesday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
