Casiano Gonzales

Casiano (Casey) Gonzales went to be with his Lord from his home on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the age of 86. He married Mary Helen DeLaCruz Gonzales on April 18, 1965 in Sweetwater, Texas. They shared 44 years together building a family and honoring God. He was born to Jose and Rita Torres Gonzales on March 2, 1937 and graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1955. Casey retired from the City of Lubbock Water Department. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and enjoyed reciting his rosary daily. He was a fan of baseball and football. Most of all, Casey enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered for being a dedicated family man, his sense of humor, and his love for God.
Casey is survived by his children Rick Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales (Brittany), Christina Gonzales and Michelle Gonzales Torrez (Alex) of Lubbock, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, his sisters Mary Castro of Sweetwater and Josie Palafox of Grand Prairie, and his brother Cruz Gonzales of Arlington. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents, his sister Minnie Zapata, his brothers-in-law Angel Castro, Jr. and Joe Palafox, and his granddaughter Amanda Gonzales Davila.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, August 30 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm.
Visitation will also be held from 9:00am-1:00pm on Thursday, August 31.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Thursday, August 31. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
