Benjamin Robert Herrera went to his eternal home February 11, 2021 at the age of 38. He was born to Raymond and Irma Herrera on November 29, 1982 in Lubbock, TX and was the husband of Yarira. A graduate of Lubbock High School and South Plains College, Benjamin was employed by the City of Lubbock Maintenance Department. He was a godly man and member of El Buen Pastor who enjoyed sharing the word of God with others. Benjamin loved spending time with family. He enjoyed playing PlayStation games, kids, and joking around. He will be remembered for his love, kindness, and laughter.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Irma Herrera, grandfather Bene B. Rendon, Sr., Uncle Ben Rendon, Jr., many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends who will miss him. They say, “Goodbye here on earth, but hello in Heaven!”
He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Herrera, his grandmother Mary Lou Rendon, Uncle Robert, and Aunt Bee (Betty).
Honoring Benjamin as pallbearers are David Wayne Duggin, Ruben Alejandro, Sr., Alex Alejandro, Ronnie Ruiz, Fabian Lee Gonzales, and John Gonzales Flores. Honorary bible carrier is Ida DeLira.
Visitation will be at Guajardo Funeral Chapels Wednesday, February 17 from 1:00-9:00 P.M. The funeral service will be at Guajardo Funeral Chapels at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18 with Rev. Miguel Casanova officiating. Burial will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
