Benito G. Lopez

Benito Lopez was born January 31, 1948 and passed from this life on October 29, 2022 at the age of 74. He married Eulojia "Ellen" Lopez on February 9, 1968 and they shared 54 years together. Benito ran his own automotive shop for 15 years before he retired. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Bingo, and the Senior Activity Center. He enjoyed playing pool, Bingo, and cards. He liked going to car shows and watching old western movies. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his jokes and unconditional love for all his family and friends.
Benito is survived by his stepfather Antonio Moreno; his children Rachel (David) Hennig of Midland, Dramika Lopez of Lubbock, and Joe (Crystal) Lopez of Lubbock; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his wife Eulojia "Ellen" Lopez, his son Leon Lopez, his grandson Christopher Lee Lopez, and his parents Anita Moreno and Mauricio Lopez.
Pallbearers: Brian Lopez, Isaiah Munoz, Alexandra Munoz, Jordan Lopez, John David Hennig, Mariah Lopez.
Honorary pallbearers: Josiah Lopez and Jonah Lopez.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 2 at from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
