Yvette Paulene Medrano

Yvette Paulene Medrano was born September 12, 1967 in Odessa, Texas to Vidal and Alvina Porras and passed from this life on November 19, 2024 at the age of 57.   She married Daniel Medrano on June 29, 1996, and they shared 28 years together.  A graduate of Texas Tech University, Yvette worked for the State of Texas DFPS as a CPS Specialist.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She enjoyed reading, walking, doing puzzles with her children, and spending time with her grandson.  Yvette was always helping others.  Her heart was kind and will be remembered by all who love her.

Yvette is survived by her husband Daniel Medrano, her daughters Victoria Trevino (Devin), Abegail Medrano, and Liana Medrano, her grandson Liam Trevino, her granddaughter Livvy Trevino, her mother Alvina Porras, and her sisters Yvonne Porras (Michael) and Yolanda Hernandez (Oliver).  She is preceded in death by her father Vidal Porras, Jr., her brother Andres Porras, her paternal grandparents Vidal Sr. and Beatriz A. Porras, and her maternal grandparents Jose M. and Maria F. Subia.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 24 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Funeral mass will be held Monday, November 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
