Valentina Carrizales

Valentina Pantoja Carrizales passed from this life on October 29, 2024 at the age of 92. She was born in Post, Texas to Alberto Pantoja and Adelita Guzman Pantoja on October 14, 1932.  She married Simon Carrizales and together they built a beautiful family with a lifetime of memories.  Valentina loved her family beyond measure! Her birthdays were always a big celebration where she was surrounded by love and laughter.  She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with her friends. One of her favorite activities was tending to her flowers. Valentina never knew a stranger.  She would never let anyone go without a roof over their head or a meal when they were in need.  Her generosity and loving heart will be remembered by everyone who knew her. She worked for the Post Kellogs factory and the Lubbock Independent School District.  She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lubbock.

Valentina is survived by her 7 children Becky (Manuel), Sam (Sherry), Martha, Henry, Zeke, Joe, Jerry (Anna), her 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Simon Carrizales, Esteven Carrizales, and Jesus Carrizales.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
