Samuel Quirino, 60, beloved Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on October 19, 2018. He entered this world on December 10, 1957 in LUBBOCK, TX, born to Carlos, SR. and Felice Quirino.
He is survived by his Brother Carlos Quirino Jr. and wife Lile, Sisters Mary Ann Rodriguez and husband Joe and Silvia Quirino-Trevino and husband Rudy all of Lubbock, TX.
Nieces: Marisa Quirino and son Nathan of Houston, TX, Xochitl Garza and husband Junior of Tyndall AFB, FL and sons Cameron and Caleb of Lubbock, TX, Vanessa Hessel and son Luke of Houston, TX and son Gregory Sulaica of Lubbock, TX, Gabrielle Trevino and sons Eric and Gabriel and daughter Sydney Urrutia of Lubbock, TX, Lauren Bre Ann Rodriguez of Austin, TX , Nephew Phillip Michael Trevino of Lubbock, TX
Samuel Graduated from Lubbock High School in 1976. Moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1982. After working many years in Social Services in Los Angeles. Samuel achieved his dream of joining the culinary industry and was accepted at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles. After graduating in 2001, he became a Externship Chef Assistant at Decor, shortly after he became Pastry Chef at the Women's City Club of Pasadena, CA from 2001 to 2018. He had many highlights throughout his career, but his proudest moment was being apart of the team that prepared the dinner for the 2001 Academy Awards. After 36 years he moved from Arcadia, CA back home to Lubbock, TX to be close to his family.
Samuel was an incredible soul who could fill any room with laughter his spirit and memories shared with family and friends will live in our hearts forever.
