Ruben Vasquez was born on June 26, 1953, in Sudan,Texas and passed away on July 3, 2025. He left a legacy of kindness and warmth in the hearts of many. Ruben enjoyed a fulfilling career as a salesman at Frank Brown, where his friendly and approachable personality made him a favorite among customers and colleagues alike. His dedication to excellence was reflected in the way he always strived to provide the best service while nurturing relationships building trust and respect.
Ruben was a proud graduate of Sudan High School. He loved music and often found solace in spending hours in his room, surrounded by beloved records. Watching television also brought him comfort and entertainment. His love for the outdoors could be seen in how he enjoyed working outside, making sure that everything was kept clean and well-maintained.
Ruben is survived by his sisters, Hortencia Vasquez and Silvia Mendez, who hold dear the memories of their beloved brother, his goddaughter Michelle Vasquez, and his nieces and nephews: Elvia (Starr) Pence, Opal Mae Aguilera, Joshua Guzman, Jerry Guzman, and Joe Mendoza. He is preceded in death by his sister, Olga Vasquez, who previously resided in Wichita Falls, Texas, his brothers Gilbert and Juan Vasquez, and his parents Pedro and Juanita Vitela Vasquez.
The memory of Ruben Vasquez will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, a gentle soul who truly embraced life with kindness.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ruben's life. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10 from 3:00PM to 9:00 PM, with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM, at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. The funeral service will be held Friday, July 11 at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow, Texas.
