Rodney Dean Baker passed from this life on August 27, 2024. He was a devoted and passionate race car builder, and was defined by his deep love for building cars and for his incredible skill to draw a diagram of a car, take a piece of metal, and build any car he wanted. There are still cars he built running the tracks today. His personality was his greatest character trait. Rodney could bring a laugh to a room that would have you bent over with laughter. He was always there to help and always had a welcoming smile.
Rodney is survived by his sons Devin, Ashton, Chandler, and Brennon, his one grandson Mason, his sisters Tracy of Lubbock, Wendy of Arizona, and Melanie of Dallas, his brothers Freddie, Darran, and Steven of Lufkin, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Bill Baker, his mother Ralphalene Allison, and his brother Mike Baker.
