Richard Morales

Richard V. Morales, 61, passed away on February 22, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas.

He was born on July 24,1962 in Lockney, Texas to Jessie and Anastasia (Velasquez) Morales. He attended Petersburg High School and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He will be remembered for his kind soul, his strength in his faith, and his positive attitude.

He is survived by: his brother, Robert Morales of Round Rock, Texas; his sister, Virginia Morales of Midland, Texas; 5 nieces; 2 nephews; 2 great-nephews; and 4 great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg, Texas with Rev. Nahum Lopez officiating.

Interment will follow at the Petersburg Cemetery.
