Richard G. Deleon

Services for Richard G. DeLeon, age 79 of Lubbock, will be at 10:00 am Friday at Our Lady of Grace with Father Jim McCartney officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th.

Interment will be at Peaceful Gardens under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Friends and family are invited to pray the rosary, Thursday, October 18th, 7 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

He went home to be with the Lord peacefully surrounded by family on October 16, 2018, in Lubbock, TX. He was born October 24, 1938 in San Antonio, TX to Antonio and Olivia DeLeon.

He enjoyed spending time with his family especially with his kids, it was his passion. Singing and playing his guitar was a favorite past time of his.  He also enjoyed playing dominoes with whomever was up for the challenge.

He was a retired truck driver who traveled all over the United States including 2 continents for over 60 years of his life which he loved.

Survivors include his (wife) Rosalinda DeLeon and his (sons)  Robert DeLeon (Joanne),Ralph DeLeon (Mona), Rosa Laredo DeLeon (D-I-L), and his daughter Rosie DeLeon. His brothers and sisters  Elida Tafoya, Ray DeLeon, Tony DeLeon, Adela DeLeon and Geneva Torrez. Ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son Ronnie B. DeLeon and his parents Antonio and Olivia, his brothers and sisters Valentine, Roy, Eva, Ruben, Raymond.
