Raul is survived by his seven children; his four sons, Jesse Ovalle (Brenda) of El Paso, Texas, Chris Ovalle (Tori) of El Paso, TX, Roman Omar Lopez (Vicky) of Tahoka, TX, Rene Lopez (Ashley) of Tahoka, TX; his three daughters Veronica Lopez of Tahoka, TX, Krystal Lopez of Tahoka, TX and Janie Valdez Chavez of Mountain House, CA; 16 grandchildren; his mother Francisca Lopez of Petersburg, TX; his sisters Rosa Marroquin of Petersburg, TX, Dalia Lopez of Lubbock, TX, Rachel Lopez of Houston, TX, Esmeralda Garza of Houston, TX, and his brother Bobby Lopez of Lubbock, TX; his nephews Jose Luis Perez (Courtney) of Petersburg, TX and Yovahn Marroquin of Petersburg, TX.

Raul was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather. He was loved by all of his family and friends and never met a stranger. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy and New York Yankee fan. Raul also had a love for music.
