Pola Maria Contreras

Pola Muniz Contreras was born January 17, 1946 and passed from this life on January 6, 2024 at the age of 77. She married Manuel Contreras on September 17, 1962 and they shared 50 years together. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and was a monitor at Disma Charities. Pola enjoyed singing, dancing, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for singing Patsy Cline songs, her love for dancing, but mostly for praying blessings over her children.
Pola is survived by a sister Bernice Hensley, her ten children San Juanita Contreras, Amelia Herrera (Chale), Manuel Contreras Jr. (Adella), Liza Duncan (Tony), Veronica Orozco, Elena McDonald (Mark), Gabriel Contreras (Jimmy), Alex Contreras, Peter Contreras (Amanda), Paul Contreras, her 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and her first great-great-grandchild on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Contreras, her son Andrew Contreras, her grandson Kristian Contreras, and her parents Mariano and Juanita Muniz.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, January 10 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00pm.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, January 11 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow, Texas.
