Petra Ramirez

Petra Luna Ramirez of Lubbock, TX was born January 18, 1933 in Sertress, TX to Juan Luna and Tiofelia Hernandez who preceded her in death. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2018 at the age of 85. Petra married Edwardo Dimas Ramirez on January 5th, 1970, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a step-son, George. Mrs. Ramirez is survived by Five daughters, Maria Ramirez of Lubbock, TX, Estella Orta of Mableton, GA, and Dora Amaya (Eliseo) of Plainview, TX; 7 stepsons and one stepdaughter, Edward of Boston, MA, Santos (Alma) of Arlington, TX, Julian (Nicole) of Lubbock, TX, Timothy (Angelica), Branch, TX, Jose Luis of Lubbock, TX, Chris (Graciela) of Arlington, TX, and Connie Mejia (Jarrigan) of Lubbock, TX. Petra was blessed with 23 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Very Special Thanks to Mary Ramirez and Dora Amaya for always being there for Mom, Connie for helping to take care of Mom, and to Adie Mae Trevino and Yolanda Hernandez. Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Monday, Nov. 26 from 1-9 pm, and again on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 9am-9pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Wednesday, Nov. 28 beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery, Woodrow, TX.
