Petra “Tita” Jaramillo went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2020 at the age of 98. Tita was born in a covered wagon in 1922 on the Heath Ranch near Idalou, Texas to Antonio and Petra Baros-Garcia. Tita was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and retired as an assembly line supervisor from Texas Instruments.
Tita was a warm and loving person that enjoyed singing, dancing, and cooking for all of her family and friends. Her house was open to everyone and she always had a pot of beans, salsa and tortillas ready for out of town guests or in-town family and friends. On special occasions, she would make her famous banana pudding! Tita was also a huge sports fan and loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Tech Red Raiders and Texas Rangers. She also enjoyed going to bingo and casinos in Las Vegas and Ruidoso. Tita was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to so many people and we will all miss her laughter, generosity and unconditional love.
Tita is survived by her children Josie (Raul) Alvarado, Casimiro Jr. Jaramillo, Tony Jaramillo, Linda Jaramillo, David Jaramillo, and Elizabeth Jaramillo; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Ricky, her daughter, Naomi, and her 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
