Pedro Rangel Torrez

Pedro Rangel Torrez, 75, beloved father, was called to his eternal resting place on November 16, 2018. He entered this world on October 19,1943 in Snyder, Texas, born to Lazaro and Natividad Torrez. He is survived by his brother Pablo R Torrez, his son Ron Torrez, daughter-in-law Carmen Torrez, and grandchildren Sergio Torrez, Armando Torrez, Briza Torrez, and Adriana Torrez. Pedro was an accomplished musician who faithfully served the Catholic Diocese of Lubbock and the Cursillo Movement through his music ministry as a founding member of Los Instrumentos de Cristo as well as Bronce Recording Studio which he co-founded with his brother Lazaro Torrez Jr. in Abernathy, TX. He was a devoted husband married to Ernestina Ortiz Torrez for 50 years and a loving father to Ron Torrez and Yvonne Torrez. He was a humble man and a faithful Christian who served God and his family whole heartedly. He will be truly missed. A Rosary Service will be held Sunday evening November 16 at 7:00 PM at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, TX. The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Lubbock, TX at 2:00 PM Monday, November 19, 2018. Committal service will follow at the Abernathy Cemetery in Abernathy, TX. under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
