Paula Garcia

Pauline Garcia, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior October 13, 2020. She was born June 29, 1931 in Donna, Texas to Jose and Fecelita  Garcia. She married Eligio Paredez in 1954, and they spent 35 years together. Paula was employed at T. I. and Caprock Home Health and worked as a home provider until the age of 85. A Christian, Paula loved the Lord, had a strong faith, and enjoyed reading her bible. She enjoyed listening to Christian and Tejano music and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren will cherish her memory and remember her love for family.

Paula is survived by her children Norma & Danny Vasquez, John & Rachel Paredez, Roland and Angie Paredez, Rebecca & Juan Vasquez, Eligio Jr. & Marcy Paredez, Ricky & Lilly Paredez, Sandy & Sammy Espinosa, Jerry Paredez, Melissa & Rengo Villerreal, and Jessica Vasques; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca Paredez, her son Fernando Paredez, daughter-in-law Angie Paredez and grandsons Joshua Paredez and Jose Paredez, and sons-in-law Danny Vasquez and Juan Vasquez.

Ezekiel Paredez, Jaylan Paredez, Rico Espinosa, Roland Paredez, Jr., Eddie Vasquez, and John Paredez, Jr. will honor Paula by serving as pallbearers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 19 a 2:00 p.m. at Oakwood United Methodist Church with Reverend Sammy Espinosa officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
