Paul Martinez, 56 passed away April 23, Lubbock, TX. He was the husband of Rosalinda Martinez. They married September 26, 1987 in Lubbock, TX and shared 32 years together.
He was born May 15, 1963 in Lubbock to Paul Jr. and Mary Martinez. He graduated Dunbar-Struggs High School in 1983. He was employed at Furr’s Cafeteria for 27 years as a cook.
He was a member of Jehovah Kingdom Hall in Lubbock, TX.
His hobbies- collecting Dallas Cowboys memorabilia, listening to Oldies music, watching past NFL Superbowl videos, and attending as many Cowboys games as possible.
He will always be remembered for being a loving and caring father, a hard worker, and provider for both family and friends. He would always put others first, lending a helping hand. He always saw the good in people and he never judged anyone by their past. He will forever be remembered for his contagious laugh and how he would cover his mouth with his hands laughing so hard. And for the love of his Dallas Cowboys.
It brought him so much joy to spend time with his family and grandson which really brightened his day.
He is survived by his wife Rosalinda Martinez, 3 sons- Paul Martinez IV, Michael Anthony Martinez, and Santana Ethan Martinez all from Lubbock
1 grandson Jacob Christopher S. Martinez, mother- Mary Martinez from Lubbock, 2 sisters Terri Harris and Crissy Val Solis both from Lubbock and 1 brother Maximo Martinez from Lubbock.
He is preceded in death by his Daughter, Samantha Valerie Martinez, Father, Paul Martinez Jr. and Sister, Bonnie De Alba. Visitation will l be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Tuesday, April 28, from 11:00am-9:00pm. Graveside services will be held in the City of Lubbock Cemetery on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 10:00 am with Mark Crawford Presiding. Pallbearers will be Zackery Flores, Abral Cruz, Jr., Brian Luna, Joey Rincon, Julian Martinez and Alfonzo Reyna.
