Otilia M. Torres

Otilia M. Torres passed from this life on April 8, 2022 at the age of 74. She was born March 10, 1948 in Lamesa, TX to Mariano and Otilia Martinez. She married Leobardo Torres, Sr. July 24, 1966 in Wilson,TX and they shared 51 years together. She attended Wilson Schools and was employed at New Home ISD as a custodian. Otilia was a member of Compassionate Heart Ministries. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, scratching lottery tickets, and playing with her dog Milo. She will be remembered for her cooking, her faith, and her unconditional love for all.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children Alejandra Tijerina, Angelita Rangel, Mariano Torres, Rita Vasquez, Alex Torres, Samuel Torres, and Selena Gutierrez; her 21 grandchildren, her 23 great-grandchildren, her siblings Angelita Cruz, Juanita Delgado, and Jesus Martinez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Otilia is preceded in death by her husband Leobardo Torres, Sr. and her sons Leobardo Torres, Jr. and Luis Torres.
Visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels on Monday, April 11 from 3:00 to 9:00 with a prayer service at 7:00. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 12 at 2:00 at Compassionate Heart Ministries with Pastor John Gutierrez officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilson, TX.
