Oscar Silvas

Oscar Silvas of Petersburg went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the age of 51. He was born on May 11, 1970, in Plainview, Texas. Mr. Silvas was preceded in death by his parents Jorge and Victoria Silvas, his wife Tina Jennings, and his sister Olga Champion. Mr. Silvas is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Silvas and Michael Alonzo of Lubbock and Victoria and Nicolas Gonzalez of Arlington, one son, Jorge and Veronica Silvas of Lubbock, and his stepdaughter Helen Jennings, five siblings three sisters and two brothers, and eleven grandchildren. Oscar was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
Pallbearers will be Isabello Rodriguez, Dario Moreno, Steve Costilla, Steve Costilla Jr., Bobby Champion, and Phillip DeLeon.

The Holy Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. October 11 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 12 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church with burial to follow in Lorenzo Cemetery.
