Odilon Platero

Odilon Platero Henriquez passed from this life on December 31, 2021, at the age of 82. He was born August 19, 1939, in El Salvador, CA to Odilon Platero and Maria Belarmina Henriquez. He married Ninfa Platero on September 9, 1980, in Cordoba Veracruz, Mexico, and they shared 41 years together. Odilon graduated as an agricultural engineer with a Master's Degree in Agriculture from Antonio Narro Faculty Saltillo, MX and was employed at Texas Tech University as a custodian. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed long distance road trips and sports, especially soccer. He will be remembered for touching so many lives with his generosity and passion for life. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ninfa Platero; his children Catalina, Xochilt, Raquel, and Rebeca; his grandchildren Ricardo, Michael, Alexander, Tiffany, Osmara, Yahir, and Alessandro; and his sisters Teresa, Alba, Mercedes, Celina, Belarmina, and Antonieta.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 5 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00. Visitation will also be available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
