Nicolasa Franco Rocha, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother peacefully passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born on February 19, 1929, in Munday, Texas, and her life was a testament to love, joy, and devotion to her family. Nicolasa was surrounded by her loved ones at her home when she took her final breath. Nicolasa was strong-willed and hard-working. She worked for Golden Age Nursing Home for numerous years up until her retirement.
A faithful Catholic a Cursillista and a member of the Guadalupanas (formerly known as "Las Hija's De Maria"), a religious organization devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico, Nicolasa's devotion to her faith was unwavering. She found solace and strength in her religious beliefs and devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe through prayer, and service to the church.
After her retirement at Golden Age Nursing Home, she devoted her life to the Maggie Trejo Super Center (formerly Rodgers Community Center), as a member and volunteer for over 30 years. She was dedicated to helping with the kitchen as a server, her favorite past time was playing Lotteria with all her friends at the community center. She loved guilting and crafts where they pretty much all became her family. Her favorite time of year was Halloween for the reason that she loved to dress up.
Nicolasa will forever be remembered for her unyielding love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. Her legacy will continue to resonate through the generations she leaves behind, serving as a reminder of the importance of love and family bonds. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her children: Daughters, Lydia (Steve) Carrizales, Nancy (Robert) Mojica, Son, David Rocha.
Grandchildren: Melinda (Jennifer) Gonzales, Robert (Veronica) Gonzales, Gabriel Carrizales, Casey (Roger) Bhangu, Carlos Santiago, Mark (Staci) Rocha, Edward (Elise) Rocha, Jennifer Santiago, Brian (Emily) Mojica, Matthew (Jimmy) Mojica, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by:

Dad: Domingo Franco
Brothers: Domingo Franco, Jr., Manuel Franco

Pallbearers: Robert Gonzales, Mark Rocha, Carlos Santiago, Brian Mojica, Matthew Mojica, Simon Carrizales. Jimmy Mojica- honorary.

A visitation will be held from 3:00pm-9:00pm, on Sunday, February 18th, 2024 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 5:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow, Texas.
