Nelda Nevarez

Nelda Nevarez went to be with her Lord and Savior November 27, 2020 at the age of 79. She was born December 1, 1941 in San Antonio, TX to Antolin and Elvira Zuniga. Nelda graduated from Fox Tech High School and worked at El Charro Restaurant as a hostess and cashier and at Dillard’s in cosmetic sales. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth’s Church, Templo Bautista, PTA, and volunteered to help children in Brownies, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Nelda enjoyed shopping, cooking, reading, traveling, her estoias (Spanish soaps) and family gatherings. She was especially fond of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Nelda will be remembered as the most loving, caring mother and grandmother. She helped all her family members in their time of need.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children Carlos Gonzales, Ricardo Gonzales, Luis Gonzales and Lupe Gonzales; her 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her father Antonlin Zuniga, her husband Jose Nevarez, and her two sons Johnny Gonzales, Jr., and Christopher Gonzales.
