Merced Vasquez

September 23, 1931 — November 15, 2018

Merced Vasquez, Sr. was born on September 23, 1931 in Austin, TX, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 15, 2018 at the age of 87. He is survived by his sons, Martin Vasquez, Merced Vasquez, Jr. and Raul Vasquez (Maggie); daughter, Olga Trevino (Leonard); four granddaughters, two great grandchildren; and by sisters, Janie Vasquez, Benita Vasquez, Aurelia Gomez and Frances Ozuna. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16 from 1-9 pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited beginning at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 17 at 2:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Lubbock, TX. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
