Melecio was a welder for many years. For the last years of his life, he resided on Baylor Street in Lubbock, Texas where he was cared for by his long-time friends David Guerrero and Liz Sauceda.
The entire Olivarez, Garcia, And Montes families are extremely grateful to David and Liz whom Tio “Rabbit” viewed as his son and who cared for him to the end of his life, spending countless hours by his side in the hospital. May the Good Lord Bless the work of their hands and multiply their good works and blessings abundantly in Jesus’ name.
