Mary Lou (Calderon) Palacio

Mary Lou Calderon Palacio passed from this life on June 6, 2023 at the age of 76. She was born August 1, 1946 in Martindale, Texas to Francisco Ybarra Calderon and Nasaila Mendoza Calderon. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing bingo, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary Lou will be remembered for her big heart, her constant smile, and her willingness to help others.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters Anita Hernandez (Felipe Godina), Mary Lou Palacio, and Priscilla Lopez, her sons Lupe Coronado (Priscilla), Joe Palacio (Sandra), Stephen Palacio (Yolanda), and Eddie Palacio (Michelle), her sisters Paula Perez, Shirley Carrizales, Angie Acevedo, 53 grandkids, 61 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Terrie, her 4 brothers Francisco, Ralph, Juan Caldero, Cruz Mendoza, her sisters Francis, Trine, Alicia, Antonia, Lillie, Reyes, and her great-great-granddaughter Crystal Mendoza.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 13 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
