Martin "Marty" Lopez

“Marty” Martin Lopez, 47, passed away on June 10, 2020 in El Paso, Texas.  He was born August 4, 1972 in Los Angeles, California to Lot G. and Isabel Lopez. Monty owned Ink Society Tattoo Studio & To Dye Hair Gallery.  He enjoyed cooking, tattooing, concerts, and being with family. He was an Oakland Raiders and L.A. Lakers fan.  Marty will be remembered as an over the top entertainer and a doorway for multiple people to be allowed to follow their dreams.  He believed in people and motivated them to be the best they could be.  His charming laughter was infectious.  He started a little tattoo stand that grew into a  beautiful empire of artists, art work, ink work, and hair & nail salon. Marty will be greatly missed as he left loved ones with many memories and laughter.  His legacy will carry on and on. Marty was one of a kind.

Marty is survived by his son Andrew Lopez, his sister Carmen Lopez, his nephews Jaycob Collazo, Erin Lopez, Steven Morin, his niece Tesla Lopez, and his grandchildren Nazz Lopez and Jaylee Collazo.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lot and Isabel Lopez and his son Aaron Martin Lopez.

Friends and family will gather with Maria Chavira to pray the Rosary on Wednesday, July 8 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock, Texas. Marty will later be laid to rest with his son Aaron Martin Lopez.
