Maricelda Sanchez

Maricelda Garcia Sanchez passed from this life on April 13, 2023 at the age of 68.  She was born July 17, 1954 in O’Donnell, Texas to Pete Garcia and Dolores Zavaleta Garcia.  In 1980, she married Armando Sanchez and they shared 43 years together. Maricelda was a wonderful homemaker and loved staying home and raising her beloved family.  Her hobby was collecting books about Jesus and always reading her Bible. She will be remembered for being a prayer warrior and the greatest grandmother to her grandbabies and mother to her kids.  She always prayed for everyone she loved.

Maricelda is survived by Armando Sanchez, Elizabeth Constancio, Freddy Constancio,Jr., Jonathon Sanchez, Amanda Sanchez, Donna Sanchez, Matthew Sanchez, Aram Isaiah Sanchez,  20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, her brothers Pete Garcia, Chris Garcia, Octavio Garcia, Martin Garcia, Mark Garcia, Michael Garcia, and her sisters Rosanna Nunez, Stephanie Garcia Gonzales, Ninfa Garcia, Corina Reyes, Yolanda Garcia, and Fabi Garcia. She is preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Portales, her mother Dolores Z. Garcia, and her sisters Sylvia Flores and Lydia Garcia.

Visitation will be held from 3:00pm- 9:00pm on Tuesday, April 18 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00pm.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 19 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Interment will follow at peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
