Maria M. Garcia

Maria M. Garcia, age 82, passed away June 28, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born March 21, 1938 in Pearshall to Francisco Munoz and Ofelia Hernanndez. Maria was a homemaker and a member of San Roman Catholic Church where she served as a Guadalupana. She enjoyed being a church member, planting flowers, sewing, cooking, watching novelas, and family time. She will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and a strong-willed person. She was a great provider and very influential.

Maria is survived by her daughters RaPhaela (Alfredo) Bentancurt, Paula (Guillermo) Rodriguez, Frances (Joe, Jr.) Huerta, Rosemary Moreno, 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband Lino Rojas, her husband Atilano Garcia, her son Lino Rojas, Jr. and her son Stevan Rojas.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Family and friends will pray the Rosary Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels in Lubbock. A funeral mass will be celebrated at San Ramon Catholic Church with Father Rene officiating Thursday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.
