Maria Francisca Perez

Maria Francisca Guzman Perez (83), passed away on September 3, 2021, at Covenant Hospital. She was married to Ambrocio R. Perez on August 2, 1952, in Kenedy, Texas. They shared 55 years together before he passed away in 2007. Mary was born on November 21, 1937, in Karnes County, Texas to Gabriel and Sofia Guzman. She was raised by her mom and stepfather, Ynez Albiar Sr. Mary enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing and canning vegetables. She also enjoyed traveling and spent vacations traveling with her husband during their marriage. Mary will be remembered for being the best grandmother, mom, aunt, sister anyone could have. She was a strong woman, who was kind and loving, and people always found comfort from her presence.
Mary is survived by two sisters, Elva Trevino and Angie Trevino of Kenedy, Texas; one sister-in-law, who she considered to be a sister, Maria Guadalupe Perez of New Deal; four brothers, Ynez Albiar Jr., Domingo Albiar, Eduardo Albiar, of Kenedy and Alvarado Albiar of Victoria; four daughters, Anita Perez of Georgia; Elva Marie Perez of Slaton; Irene White of Seymour; and Denise Julia Perez of New Deal; six sons Jose Perez of Slaton, Ambrocio Perez Jr. of Seminole, Paul Perez of Colorado, David Perez, Leonirez Perez, and Demetrio Perez of North Carolina; twenty-two grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
She is preceded by her husband of 55 years, Ambrocio R. Perez, a daughter, Consuela, her parents, and her brother, Jose Guzman.
Funeral services will be held at Echols Funeral Home in Kenedy, Texas. Details of the funeral and rosary services are not released at this time.
