Beyond her professional endeavors, she truly treasured family time, often gathering with her loved ones to share meals and create lasting memories.
Maria's spiritual life was equally significant to her; she was a devoted member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, where she served as a Guadalupana, Cursillista, and an active participant in prayer groups. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her daily life, as she enjoyed praying, reading her Bible, and listening to Christian music.
She is survived by her children: Luis Sr. (Connie) Alvarez, Alicia Alvarez, Angie Alvarez, Diana Alvarez, Manuel (Licha) Alvarez, Edward (Blanca) Alvarez, Margarita (Lucio) Hernandez, and Miguel Alvarez.
