Margarita (Gutierrez) Cimental

Margarita “Margie” G. Cimental of Lubbock, TX was born on June 8, 1950 to Juan and Anita Gutierrez who preceded her in death. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 27, 2020 at the age of 70 years. Margarita is survived by her husband, Martin Cimental, who she married on May 29, 1968; daughter, April Mae Cimental and granddaughter Ashlan Sierra of Burke, VA and son, Domingo Cimental (whom she raised from the age of 5) and his wife Diana Cimental of Lubbock, TX, two brothers and three sisters. She loved and served her Lord and Savior until the end. She was involved in various church leadership rolls and activities. She was affiliated with her church family until she wasn’t able to attend due to her illness. She loved to spend time knitting, crafting, cooking, baking, ceramics, reading and shopping at Kohls. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved to entertain family and friends and caring for her rose and vegetable garden. She also loved her cat named Gilley who brought her comfort and joy for 15 years. Margarita also loved to spoil her favorite person in the world, her granddaughter. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice, Deedra, Sandra, Sharon, Chaplain Robert and others who took care of her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 12-9pm at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:00am at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. The family requests donations to SPCA of Texas (spca.org).
