Marcos Antonio Duran, a dedicated swimming pool contractor with over 30 years of experience, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on June 27, 1956, in Cortazar Guanajuato, Mexico, Marcos was known for his hard work and pride in his craft. He dedicated his life to providing for his family, embodying determination that never saw him quit.
A high school graduate with some college education, Marcos was a loving, gentle, and compassionate man. His quiet demeanor masked a personality that thrived on helping others and a belief system that he held steadfastly. He had a unique ability to bring humor into the lives of those around him, often jokingly upsetting them just enough to lighten the mood.
In addition to his professional achievements, Marcos valued his family above all else. His greatest pride was his family, encompassing his love for his former wife and best friend, Martha Reyes, and their children: son Mark Anthony Duran and his daughter-in-law Melissa Mora Duran; daughter Elena Reyes Duran; son Adam Michael Duran; and stepson Joe Reyes Rodriguez. He also held a deep affection for his grandchildren: Lexia Raye Smith; Ayva Marie Carrasco; Anglysse Faith Rodriguez; Urijah Antonia Duran; Sebastian Angel Duran; Isabelle Grace Duran; and Matheaus Angelo Duran, Alicia Marie Reyes Rodriguez, Nolan Alexander Reyes Rodriguez, Ailani Jolie Reyes Rodriguez, Kaden Abraham Reyes Rodriguez, and Jensen Ariq Reyes Rodriguez, his great-granddaughter Skylar Jhené Jackson; and his siblings Hilaria Guerrero, Rodrigo Guerro, and Martina Flores.
Marcos's interests included watching football and boxing, as well as thrift shopping, which allowed him to enjoy time spent with his grandchildren. He will be remembered not only for his commendable work ethic but also for his loving nature, unwavering faith, and the warmth he spread to those around him.
Marcos Duran is preceded in death by his mother, Paula Celia Duran Flores; his uncles Augustine Duran, Mateo Duran, Manuel Duran; his aunts Olivia Duran and Elena Duran; his grandfather Pedro Duran and grandmother Delores Duran.
