Lydia Guzman

Lydia Pacheco Guzman, born on October 27, 1947, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025. She was a beloved figure whose sweet and caring nature touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lydia was a strong and sincere woman, known for her affectionate spirit, always offering kisses and blessings to those around her.

Throughout her life, Lydia cherished the moments spent with her family, creating lasting memories during joyful family gatherings on every holiday. She had a passion for cooking, dancing, and sharing her life with her children and grandchildren, which only enhanced her role as a loving mother and grandmother. Lydia was a woman of strong faith in the Lord. She loved God and enjoyed serving him and his people as a guadalupana for many years.

Lydia is survived by her devoted son Adam Guzman and his wife Diana, her loving daughters Hope Piseno and her husband Ronnie, Diana Rodriguez and her husband Johnny, Jessica Luna and her husband David, and Clara Ramirez and her husband Robert, and her beloved sister Erminia Victoria Benavidez. She also leaves behind a legacy of nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who will remember her fondly and carry her love forward.

Lydia was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jesus Guzman, as well as her parents Amelio and Esperanza Pacheco. She was also predeceased by her brothers Amelio Jr. and Raymond Pacheco, and her great-granddaughter Dakota Johnson.

Lydia's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, in the traditions she upheld, and in the love she so freely shared with everyone around her.

A visitation will be held at Guajardo Funeral Chapels located at 407 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place the next day, Monday, August 4, 2025, at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Idalou, TX, beginning at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at the Idalou Cemetery.
