Lupe Ramirez

Lupe Olmos Ramirez, age 80, passed away on July 16, 2024. He was born on October 12, 1943, in Gonzalez, Texas, to his loving parents, Juan and Antonia Ramirez.

On January 8, 1966, Lupe married the love of his life, Isabel Ramirez, in Lubbock, Texas. They celebrated 58 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A self-employed cotton farmer in Shallowater, Texas, Lupe was known for his hard work and dedication to his profession. He was a proud member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Lubbock, Texas, where his faith and community were central to his life. Lupe was a great dad, kind to others, and a man of God.

Lupe had a deep passion for farming, finding immense joy and fulfillment in his work. Beyond the fields, his greatest delight was spending time with his family. He especially loved taking his grandkids out for ice cream, creating treasured moments and lasting memories. Family vacations were a special time for Lupe, where he could relax and enjoy the company of his loved ones.

An enthusiast of cars, Lupe had a particular fondness for hot rods and drag racing. His love for these high-speed machines was a testament to his spirited and adventurous nature.

Lupe's legacy is one of hard work, family devotion, kindness, and an unwavering zest for life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lupe is survived by his beloved wife, Isabela; his daughters, Sylvia Magallanes of Slaton, Texas, and her husband Tommy, and Lisa Kay Pinedo and her husband Tony of Fort Worth, Texas; his son, Robert Ramirez of Lubbock, Texas, and his wife Brandi; and his six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Stacie Danielle Magallanes; his brothers, Matilde Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, and Juan Ramirez; and his parents, Juan and Antonia Ramirez.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursday July 18th at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. With 7:00 p.m. Services. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday July 19th at Guajardo Funeral Chapels, with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. The funeral service will be livestreamed.
