Lucario Mitchell

Lucario Crescencio "LC" Mitchell passed from this life surrounded by family in his home on February 17, 2022 at the age of 94. He was born April 19, 1928 in Gallegos, NM to Marcelino Mitchell and Manuelita Tafoya. He married Lydia Reyna in April of 1956, and they shared 54 years together. Lucario retired from road construction as a machine operator and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He liked to watch western movies and listen to music. He always enjoyed visiting with family and storytelling. He will be remembered for being a hard worker and an awesome dad and grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children Mary Ann Gutierrez and Rey Dominguez of San Antonio, Mary Alice and Manuel Alvarez of Lubbock, Blanca and Edward Alvarez of Lubbock, Romeo and Michelle Mitchell of Lubbock, Edward and Dolores Mitchell of Lubbock, his 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and 7 brothers and sisters.

Lucario is preceded in death by his wife Lydia, his great-grandson Koi Wrigley Alvarez and five siblings.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Alvarez, Mikey Mitchell, Randy Pierce, Manuel Alvarez, Tyler Oglesby, and Eric Alvarez. Honorary pallbearer will be Javier Martinez.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 22 from 3-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23 at 12:00 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
