Lionel Prieto

Lionel (Leo) Prieto passed from this life on August 20th, 2025. He was born on April 18th, 1965, in Morton, Texas to Hilario and Lucia Prieto. He married Mary Pacheco on April 3, 1985. He was employed by Grace Clinic, Covenant Health, and anywhere he was needed. Leo enjoyed walking in the park, taking road trips, boxing events, baseball and his Longhorns. He loved to listen to music, attend music events and was Co-Owner of the “KOOL KID CLUB”. Leo’s journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He was very proud of his kids & grandkids. His greatest joy was found in spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored deeply. Leo proudly served the hospital community for over 30 years. His compassionate spirit touched countless lives, as he had a gift for making patients feel at ease. His work family will remember him for his unwavering dedication, tireless work ethic, and his sense of humor. Leo shed light on numerous lives and was a problem solver. If he could not help you, he would find someone that could help you. He is survived by his wife Mary Prieto, children Sabrina Prieto(Jason) and Leo Prieto(Daniela). Leo aka “POPA”, had 3 grandchildren Noel, Zachariah and Kaisen who meant the world to him. Also left to cherish his memory are siblings Armando Prieto(Elda), Yolanda Tobias(Victor), Arturo Prieto, Ernesto Prieto, Delma Prieto, Lupe Coronado(Eva), and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Hilario and Lucia Prieto. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many other lives that were touched by him and his kindness.
