Lilly Carrillo

August 29, 1933 — October 30, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lilly Carrillo, a beloved matriarch, on October 30, 2025, at the age of 92. Lilly was a bright and loving person, whose life was characterized by her deep faith as a devout Catholic and her unwavering dedication to her family.

Born on August 29, 1933, Lilly attended Lubbock High School and later pursued a successful career in retail, where she was well known for her warm smile and engaging personality. As a passionate Bingo and slot machine enthusiast, she cherished the joy of friendly competition and the excitement of social gatherings.

Family gatherings were a cornerstone of Lilly's life, filled with love, laughter, and the creation of cherished memories. She found immense joy in dancing, sharing her culinary talents through her delicious enchiladas and tamales, and participating in various community activities, including the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters. Lilly’s spirit truly shone during scholarship dances and family events, where her vivacity and fun-loving nature made her the life of the party.

Lilly is survived by her devoted siblings, Helen Britto and Beatrice Maris, and her children: son Joe Jr. Carrillo and his wife Angie, along with their daughters Andrea and Amy; daughter Dolores Garcia and her husband Gil, children Jessica, Jason, and Jon Paul (father Ernest); son Michael Carrillo and his wife Mary, children Alisha, Danielle and Jacob (mother Eva); son David Carrillo and his wife Rosie, with their daughter Monique; daughter Teresa Hernandez and her husband Joe, who have sons Joshua and Andres; and son Robert Carrillo and his wife Rosa, with their children Kaila and Zach. Lilly also leaves behind fifteen great-grandchildren and counting, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.

She was predeceased by her sisters Dora and Stella, and her brother Claude. Lilly's family stands united in their grief, inspired by her legacy of love, faith, and togetherness.

Lilly Carrillo will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and love will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
