Lidia Lira

Lidia Lira, born on October 27, 1941, in Sinton, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2025. The legacy she leaves behind is one of faith, family, love, and laughter. Lidia was a devoted mother and sister, cherished by many for her warmth and kindness.

She is survived by her loving children, Delia Collazo (Emmanuel), JoAnn Davila, Ruby Gromek, Michael Streat (Aida), Virginia Garcia (Jason), Lorrie Binford (Thanay), and Amanda Contreras (Peter). Her sisters, Linda Alejandro, Ninfa Torres and Ida DeLira, also continue to carry her spirit with them.

Lidia was preceded in her passing by her parents, Silbiano and Elvira DeLira, as well as her daughters, Lidia Collazo and Carolyn Pecina, and her beloved grandchildren, Veronica Davila, Malaki Garza, and Joshua Bone.

Her nurturing presence and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. As we celebrate her remarkable life, we remember the joy she brought into our lives and the indelible mark she has left on our hearts.
