Leopoldo Rey Riojas

Leopoldo Riojas Rey passed from this life on February 15, 2025. He was born in Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua to Jose Riojas and Maria Rey on November 9, 1939. He married Margarita V. Riojas on February 11, 1961 in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico and they shared 64 years loving and building their beautiful family. Leopoldo was a custodian at Texas Tech University and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lubbock. One of his passions was fishing and he won prizes for his fishing ability. His greatest passion was his family. He loved God deeply and cherished the blessing of family. Leopoldo is greatly loved and will be missed and remembered in the hearts of those he loved.
Leopoldo is survived by his beloved wife Margarita Riojas, his children Veronica Kiss, Patty Morales, Leopoldo Riojas, Jr., Sergio Riojas, Carlos Riojas, and Denisse Robles. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends because he never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons Jose Luis and Omar Riojas, and his daughter Cristina Riojas.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 19 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary at 7:00
Funeral Mass: Thursday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Raymundo Manriquez officiating.
