Leandro Gary Garcia

The family of Leandro Gary Garcia will celebrate his life of 23 years and will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm-9:00pm on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 25th , 2022 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Internment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery.


Leandro Gary Garcia was a spark in a world filled with darkness. He was prideful with his representation of his family name, to being a one a kind of person with a smile that always greeted you followed by a warm embrace. He did it his own way the only way he knew how... and that was with pure love. He loved his numerous nieces and nephews, and any child for that matter. You couldn't tell the difference if it was a blood relative or complete stranger because he embellished love to make each experience more special than the next. There was never a moment he wasted. He loved music, and more so spending time with family making memories letting everyone know he loved them. BBQ's, get togethers, fight nights, and football games will never be the same. His favorite color was red "big Texas Tech fan" but the color was more meaningful because it represented love. He is survived by his father - Leandro Garcia, step mother Mary Garcia, mother - Lisa Villarreal Olaez and stepfather Armando Olaez, brothers -Zachary Villarreal, Sylvester Garcia, Raymond Garcia,sister Leighandra Rioz and the late Deborah Mota, and brother in-law Antonio Rioz Jr. and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Dear Leandro Gary Garcia, I've gone back and forth the last few days trying to decide whether or not I should even write this. In the end, I realized I would regret it if I didn't, so here it goes. I know the last time we saw each other, we weren't exactly hitting the sweetest notes-certainly wasn't the way I wanted the trip of life to end. I suppose I'm responsible and for that, I'm sorry. But in all honesty, if I had the chance, I'd do it again. Leighandra said I left a stranger and came back a husband whenever I would spend time with you; I owe that to you. There's no way I can repay you for all you've done for me, so rather than try, I'm just going to ask you to do something else for me-find the joy in your life. You once said you're not everyone. Well, that's true-you're certainly not everyone, but everyone is everyone. My pastor always says our lives are streams flowing into the same river towards whatever heaven lies in the mist beyond the falls. Find the joy in your life, Leandro Gary Garcia. My dear friend, close your eyes and let the waters take you home.
