Josephine Lopez Milstead

Josephine Milstead, beloved mother, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025 at the age of 101. She was employed at Lubbock ISD and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Josephine enjoyed eating out with her friends and family and shopping. She was full of life and an inspiration to all. She had a feisty wit and tenacity and was also very loving and forgiving. She loved her family, friends, and strangers too. Josephine's loss is deeply felt by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on in those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her son Paul and his wife Elva, her daughter Corena and son-in-law Efrain, her daughter Mary and son-in-law Jesus, her daughter Rose, her daughter Julia and son-in-law Herman, and her daughters-in-law Consuelo and Estella, and a great number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Jose Hernandez and her husband Felipe Milstead, her sons Chris and Joe, her stepdaughter Lupe, her son-in-law Anastacio, her stepdaughter Victoria, her son-in-law Pablo, and son-in-law Catarino.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary beginning at 5:00.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
