Joe Gonzalez Palacio

Joe Gonzalez Palacio, lovingly known as JoJo, passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on February 21, 1971, Joe’s life was marked by a profound dedication to his family, a tireless work ethic, and an unmistakable sense of humor.

Joe is survived by a large and loving family. Among those cherishing his memory are his beloved wife, Sadra G. Palacio, and his devoted children: Katalina Palacio, Stephen Martinez, Joe David Palacio, Isaiahs Lucio, Delilah Lucio, Max Lucio, and Giovanni Palacio. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Gabriella Martinez, and his son-in-law, Kristofer Allen. Joe’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Adalina Allen, Drake and Kamilla Bernal, Zayla and Elena Lucio, Adrianna and Adrian Heras, Josie Lucio, and Eileen Lopez.

Joe was deeply connected to his siblings—Anita Hernandez, Priscilla Palacio, Mary Lou Palacio, Lupe Coronado, Stephen Gonzales, and Eddie Ray Palacio—each of whom remembers him not only as a brother, but as a confidant and friend. He also shared a close bond with his father, Raymond Palacio, who survives him.

While Joe’s life was built on strong family ties, he mourned the loss of his mother, Mary Lou Palacio; his sister, Terissa Mendoza Palacio; and his brother, Raymundo Palacio Jr., who preceded him in death. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Professionally, Joe spent three decades as a dedicated concrete contractor. His colleagues and clients alike will remember his hard work and reliability.

Joe’s days beyond work were filled with joy and laughter. Playing dominos was one of his favorite pastimes. He also found happiness in singing and dancing and had a remarkable knack for fixing things.

Those who knew Joe best recall him as funny, loving, and caring—a hard-working man who was truly the life of the party. Whether at family gatherings or during impromptu adventures, like sneaking the kids out of school for some fun, Joe created moments that will be cherished for generations.

Of all his accomplishments, Joe was most proud of his children and grandchildren. Their achievements and happiness meant the world to him, and he celebrated all their milestones with pride and joy. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. The lessons he taught and the love he shared stand as his lasting legacy.
