Jose Maria Gonzales

Jose Gonzales 92, of Lubbock died November 6, 2018. His devotion to his family and his belief in god gave him peace. Jose was born in Melvin, Texas to Margarito and Luteria Gonzales. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After serving, he continued his occupation as a farmer and afterwards worked for a tractor supply company before retiring. He was married to the late Virginia (Eureste) Gonzales for 67 years and were blessed with five children, Alexander (Mary) Gonzales, Armando (Teresa) Gonzales, Joe (Chris) Gonzales, Sylvia Gonzales and Mikeal (Maria) Gonzales. He had 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister Anita (Sonny) Garcia and brother Raymond Gonzales. The viewing will be at Guajardo Funeral Chapel Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 1:00-6:00 pm, Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass of Resurrection will be at 2:00 pm on November 9, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace, 3111 Erskine Street following with burial at Peaceful Gardens. Pallbearers are Mike Gonzales, Joe Isaac Gonzales, Mark Gonzales, Tony Gonzales, Dillon Gonzales-Hernandez and Christopher Deleon
